Wedding Stuff

All this wedding stuff is pretty crazy..But REALLY exciting!

Here's what I've gotten accomplished so far:

1.) We will be having the ceremony outside at Adena Mansion and Gardens.

2.) I have booked a photographer..Matt Day :)

3.) We have pretty much decided on a caterer..But I'm not going to mention any names yet :)

4.) I have a wedding gown :) Which me, my Mom, and my seamstress Beth have redesigned for me..I love the gown and all the details it has..I just wasn't happy with the style/shape of the gown..So in a way, it is a completely different dress :) And I LOVE IT!!


I know it is not a very long list..But it's a work in progress.
Right now I'm in the middle of booking a reception hall. Nathan and I are pretty sure the reception is going to be held at the Scioto Township Hall..But we, meaning I..lol, want to look at all the options available.
Also, just yesterday I scheduled an appointment to meet with a florist :) Flowers are my FAVORITE!! So hopefully..If we can afford it..There will be LOTS of flowers!!
I think that's all we have..I'm really wanting to get invitations and send them out..But I can't do that until I have all the details of the ceremony and reception worked out.
Anywho..I think it is about time to go to bed <3

New Year

To start, I apoligize. But I did tell ya'll in the beginning that I would probably be HORRIBLE at blogging. And I can not believe it has been an ENTIRE month since I was last on here..I really am awful :P
Anywho..It's a new year. That I CAN NOT BELIEVE!! Where has all the time gone?? My Momma was right..Time really does go by faster and faster every year.
So..A few things have happened since I was last on here.
1.) Nathan and I started looking for a house.
I may have mentioned that in an earlier blog..But I can't remember. When we first started looking we were really liking all the two story homes. Homes that we could stay in for 10 to 15 years. After realisticly discussing it though..It's better for us to get a smaller home. Something we can be in while I finish up school. We haven't really been looking hard. But I'm sure we'll find something..And if not..We'll survive and figure something out.
2.) Winter quarter started.
I've told myself it's going to be a better quarter than Fall. IT HAS TO BE!! PMA: Positive mental attitude :)
3.) I have OFFICIALLY started planning for me and Nathan's June 26, 2010 wedding ceremony!!! :)
This one I am SUPER DUPER EXCITED about!! Since the process of planning has started about a week ago I have gotten quite a few things accomplished. First thing I did was meet with Beth, my seamstress. She is going to customize my dress..Because after having this gut feeling that something about the dress wasn't EXACTLY right I figured out what the problem was..And all it is is that I want it more fitted through the hips. Not that big of a deal. It will still be the same BEAUTIFUL dress that I picked out..Just a little bit more form fitting. I have also contacted a caterer, a photographerer, two reception sites, and two ceremony sites. But there's really no need for the second ceremony site because I've already decided on Adena Mansion and Gardens :) The ceremony is going to be BEAUTIFUL!! I can not wait. I still have A TON of things to do..But I'm REALLY REALLY excited :)
I think that's all the excitement that's going on in my life right now. Until I get on here again..Take care ya'll <3

Winter Break...Thus Far

So my Winter Break started at 12:30ish P.M. Thursday afternoon. Thus far it's been throughly enjoyable :)
After finishing my Animal Sciences final I drove down to West Virginia to spend some time with Nathan. It was nice to get away from Columbus for a little bit..And just nice to drive and have a mini roadtrip. And, of course, it was nice to see Nathan and spend some extra time with him. If I didn't have to work I'd be living in West Virginia with him throughout Decemeber. But..Gotta make that money :)
Besides I like my job too :)
Saturday was a pretty busy day for me..I left West Virginia to come back to Ohio. I visited my Dad and Lori..I had a family Christmas party to attend..And a dinner party with the girlies from high school. It was all a lot of fun..Especially seeing all my girls. It had been WAY to long!
Oh!! I almost forgot..The most recent and exciting news........
Nathan and I started looking for a house!!!
Yay!! I'm REALLY excited!!! We're hoping to find a nice starter home somewhere between Chillicothe and Columbus. I'm hoping we find a place more toward Columbus..Because of school and such. We will have to wait and see...
Anywho..I think I'm gonna go clean the house a bit..Take care <3

Another Final Down

As I mentioned yesterday, I took my last ASL final today. All in all I think it went pretty well..Saw my friend Wendy :) Always makes me happy to see her..Especially since we were able to be in the same ASL class this quarter. I know ya'll don't know Wendy..But she's a really good, warm-hearted person..And she's going to be graduating in two quarters! Two quarters!! I'm so jealous!! Not really though..Because I'm really enjoying all my Animal Sciences classes..And I am throughly happy that I picked up the Animal Sciences major..Yay!! :)
I should be finishing up the laundry I started earlier this afternoon..But I thought it would be better to blog instead :)
What else happened today??
Ohhh!!! My friends and I went to Schmidts. Schmidts is a restuarant in the German Village part of Columbus. It specializes in sausage..I'm not a HUGE fan of the food..But I went for the company. I HIGHLY recommend the potato cakes..They were delicious :)
Also, if you ever go to Schmidts, you HAVE to go to the Fudge House..Yum yum!! I actually spent more money in the Fudge House than I did on my actual dinner..LoL Well worth the money though..I'm basing this on the purchases I have consumed thus far :)
Anywho..I have the day off tomorrow. So I'm going to go dick around on the rest of the vast internet. Enjoy your night ya'll <3

The Past Weekend and Finals

So I haven't been on here since Thursday..Since then a little bit has happened.
First Nathan and I had our first date night as a married couple..Ryan (Nathan's BF from Australia) tagged along..(Which I know what you're thinking.."Lame!!")..But it was actually good. The last time I saw Ryan was when I was a junior in high school..So it has been about 5 years since I last saw hime. So it was nice to catch up with him and just hang out. We all went to the Olive Garden..Yumm!! It was SO good!! I can never get enough of their breadsticks..And their salad dressing!! Aghhh!! It's AMAZING!! So..Date night was Friday night..Saturday..Nathan, Ryan, and I went out to Mimi's (Nathan's Grandma). We just hung out and watched football mostly..Nothing too exciting. We kind of had a make up Thanksgiving..Since I was able to be at the real Thanksgiving. Sunday was a good day too. I got to see my Dad's side of family :) Minus my Dad though..We, being the family, hardly ever see one another anymore..So it was really nice to get together :) Makes me realize I need to keep in touch with everyone more often. I also got to visit with my Grandma Judy's family. It's always kind of akward around them..Because Grandma isn't with us any longer..But it was nice to see some familar faces..And have those akward few moments of catch up..LoL
All in all the weekend was GREAT! Just the little break I needed before Finals Week..Which is NOW!!
I took my first final today..It was in Sociology..Considering as I find the class extremely boring and hardly ever attended lecture..(Shhh!!)..I think it went fairly well. Tomorrow I have my last ASL final EVER :( I'm kinda sad considering how much I enjoyed ASL..But I'm happy at the same time..Because I finally finished my forgien language requirement
I'm also excited for tomorrow because my group of college friends..All the brainiacs I have come to know and love :)..are getting together for dinner before we all leave for Christmas break..Good times always involve food and friends.
I'll let ya'll know how that goes tomorrow. I gotta study some more before hittin' the hay <3

Boredom

So right now I should be doing something productive..But it's the end of the quarter. Which means I don't feel like doing anything!!
Christmas break CAN NOT come soon enough!! I don't know how often I will be able to go home to Chillicothe..But it will just be nice to have a break.
Tomorrow is the last day of reguarly scheduled classes..Yay!! But I was a little sad this morning..Because this morning I attended my last ASL (American Sign Language) class EVER! And I LOVED that class!! And the teacher. Tia (my teacher) was AMAZING!! She taught me so much about ASL and about the Deaf culture..Both of which I would have known nothing about if I hadn't of taken her class. But Tia became a really good friend too. For four quarters I had Tia as my ASL teacher..So ya'll can see why her and I became so close. I'm hoping to keep up a friendship with her.
Today was also my last Animal Sciences 200 lecture. Ani Sci 200 is another class I have absolutely LOVED!! To get ya'll a background..Ani Sci 200 is an introductory course to the Animal Sciences department. The class focuses mainly of food animals..Being cattle, equine, swine, and sheep..Basically any hooved animal. So what we learned about as the basics of food animals and their development.
At the start of the quarter I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy this class because I haven't had much experience around large animals. But as I mentioned I LOVED this class as well. Especially the labs! We did SO much cool stuff. Most people think it's gross but I have LOVED it!! The lab I enjoyed the most was the AI (artificial insemination) lab..It was REALLY freaking cool!! Just a couple weeks ago I got to disect a layer hen too. Inside her uterus I found a partically formed egg..It was AMAZING!! Sorry if I grossed ya'll out..But this is my life now :)
Now that I've posted a little something and have gotten the ADD out of my system..I think I'll go do something productive now. I'll probably post a little something later. Hope ya'll enjoyed the peek ya got of my life as an Animal Sciences student at OSU :)

My First Post

So I have been inspired by Kate Davis to start a blog. I can not promise how often I will blog..But I intend to make this apart of my daily routine..We will see how this goes...
Like I said I have been inspired by Kate to start this blog. I think it is because Kate and I live similar lives. Posting updates on here concerning Nathan and I will be good..Hopefully this will be something family and friends will read. While Nathan is currently in the United States, friends and family are always asking about him. They are always wondering what is he doing. Well..It will be through this blog that I can now keep everyone updated.
This blog will not solely be about Nathan though. As I said, I will be trying my best to blog daily..Even if the blog just says what I ate for the day. Through this ya'll will get a glimpse at the life I live. Sometimes it is exciting and sometimes it's not. But either way I will post stuff on here. Don't expect anything TOO crazy though..I, nor Nathan, live very exciting lives...
Anywho..I hope this is something that friends and family can be apart of. Feel free to leave comments :) I will personalize the page more as time rolls on.
